Hi friends! My name is Anna Nunez. Being born and raised in southern California, I’ve lived a pretty normal life, well, as normal as it can be when God gets involved. I had your typical childhood: loving parents, two older brothers, and lots of pets. I went to school, I played sports, I sometimes got along with my siblings, I did art, I loved music, and I was raised in the church. Because of that, I always knew who God was, but it didn’t become real to me until I was about eleven. I started reading the Bible for myself and I could feel God’s presence with me. Ever since then, I haven’t stopped loving Him and He hasn’t stopped either. Looking back, I am always surprised and amazed by his faithfulness to me. I went on a few missions trips to Malawi, Africa, starting from when I was twelve, and that’s where I truly discovered my passion for missions. That was a major turning point in my life. It was the most fulfilled I have ever felt in my calling and I hope to receive that from World Race Gap Year as well. As God has drawn me closer to Him, and as I have taken hold of the opportunities He has given me, I have realized that He doesn’t need me to carry out His plan, but He allows me to be a part of it. So now, that is all I seek to do. As I keep moving forward, I want to be obedient to what He is asking me to do as I choose to be a part of his plan for this world.

So, no crazy testimony, no shocking turn of events here. I am just a girl who loves her God and has dared to believe that I can be a part of what He has going on. God has showed me that I should never want to trade my testimony for someone else’s. It is my redemption story. It’s the story of a broken person and an amazing God; the same, but also different than anyone else. And I pray that the story God is writing in me will show others the magnitude of his mercy and love.
